On 17 May 2014, the anniversary of both the founding of the company and birth of its creator – Don Paco Bultó – Spanish motorcycle manufacturer Bultaco announced its return to the motorcycle market. The legendary brand was highly successful from 1958 to 1983.

The new team translates their founder’s vision and passion into the 21st century. The relaunch is accompanied by Bultaco’s new positioning and presentation as a premium brand: the company will not only produce innovative electric motorcycles but also revive its still excellent reputation in the racing world.

Against this backdrop, we were invited to develop a smart store design for Bultaco. Our concept is completely modular and provides a powerful brand experience by connecting to the company’s past and taking it into the future.

The long history of Bultaco is based on its founder’s life-long dream coming true. The current relaunch continues these challenges, projects, emotions, and above all, dreams and visions – and turns them into customer experiences.

In the course of Bultaco’s electric renaissance, the company strives to increase its customer attraction and allow its products to take an innovative step into the limelight. In contrast to traditional motorcycle stores, Bultaco presents and sells powerful brand experiences. The new product range addresses new needs and desires by combining features of motorcycles and bicycles. The same approach will be reflected in the Bultaco shopping experience.

The new store concept recalls the one-of-a-kind brand world of Bultaco. Cutting-edge technology, top components and ultra-light materials are presented in an emotional environment. The new product line’s first two models – Rapitan and Rapitan Sport – focus on customer presentation. They are certainly the epitome of every motorcycle fan’s dreams.

Electrifying the world of motorcycling

Unlike traditional motorcycle stores, the new store concept opens the gates to a whole new brand universe. The store’s premium design language is not the only reason for its particularly attractive look. Its sustainable materials are combined with great flexibility – in individual size and design – and enable a modular solution fit for this smart showroom. Moreover, its variable interiors made of sustainable premium materials are particularly user-friendly.

The new store concept offers functional solutions to a highly diverse range of requirements. In line with a constant eye for detail, the new interior design uses materials, forms and colors to connect to Bultaco’s past and pave the way into the future.

Its design guarantees customers an absolutely singular shopping experience: you do not even have to step into the store to find its first eye catcher, Bultapas Bar. Once inside, both motorcycle aficionados and those on their way to such a passion find intriguingly presented products, expert advice and top-quality service including, for example, a simulator for first-hand testing the new product line.
