The International Design Center Berlin (IDZ) and InnoTrans 2014 are jointly holding a one-day design forum within the context of the renowned trade fair. The focus of this specialized conference is to link design and mobility in the public transport and interiors segments. In his keynote speech “Focus on the Passenger”, Daniel Huber will report about project experiences and future trends.

For the tenth time the global railway industry will gather together at InnoTrans 2014 in Berlin. Beginning on September 23, 2014, more than 2,700 exhibitors from 51 countries will show their groundbreaking innovations at InnoTrans, the leading international trade fair in the field of transport technology. IDZ Berlin and InnoTrans will jointly host an accompanying design forum called “Comfort, functionality and design – innovative concepts and solutions for designing mobility”. Within the context of this event open to trade show visitors, various experts including Daniel Huber as the keynote speaker will present current industry developments, outstanding examples and future trends.

In his presentation entitled “Focus on the Passenger – service-oriented innovations to increase the attractiveness of public transportation“, Daniel Huber will demonstrate how strategically sound design in public transportation generates substantial added value. He keeps the user and his requirements at the center of design. Innovative mobility design is based on market studies and trend analyses, and integrates not only the means of transport but related services such as booing, information and orientation systems and the entire brand architecture. Advantageous product features and a journey time which is safe, tailored to the needs of the individual passenger and which he can make use of in a meaningful way enhance the attractiveness of public transportation.
