New fire fighting vehicles

Next PANTHER-generation

Today Rosenbauer delivered a foretaste of its new airport fire fighting vehicle. Spirit Design has been working on the design of this next generation. It will be seen for the first time in Hannover at Interschutz 2015, the world’s leading international trade fair for fire services.

The design concept also plays a decisive role in the upcoming PANTHER generation. Together with our longstanding client Rosenbauer, we continued and accentuated the self-confident design and styling of its multiple award-winning predecessor (iF product design award 2006, red dot 2006, International Design Excellence Award 2008 etc.). Balanced, harmonious proportions, clear-cut lines and a revised front design serve to additionally underline the dynamic contours of the vehicle.

The new vehicle front lends the future version of the PANTHER an even more expressive face, and gives the crew an even more optimized all-round visibility from the cabin. The light design of the next generation not only provides stylish design features, but also contributes to enhancing safety in fire fighting operations. The driver and crew cabins were redone, particularly to integrate ergonomic aspects. The cockpit instruments were rearranged in order to facilitate the handling of the vehicle. The cabin was also improved with respect to the safety of the crew. All these innovations make the new PANTHER a combination of user-oriented functionality and emotional design language at the cutting edge of technology.

We are pleased to be able to continue supporting our project PANTHER in the future.
