Georg Wagner was one of the prominent speakers at the 11th Austrian Consultants’ Days (IT- und Beratertag) held on November 28, 2013 in the Hofburg Palace in Vienna. Speaking in line with the motto “Focus on Successful Business Management”, he contributed solutions, trends and success models to the renowned industry event organized by the Professional Association of Management Consultancy and Information Technology (UBIT) of the Vienna Economic Chamber.

More than 2,500 visitors took part in this year’s Austrian Consultants’ Days. The highlight of the series of events sponsored by the Professional Association of Management Consultancy and Information Technology (UBIT) of the Vienna Economic Chamber was the 11th Austrian Consultants’ Days, traditionally held in Vienna’s Hofburg Palace. Prominent lectures and panels discussed the toolbox which is essential to ensure successful business management, and which trends will have to be taken into consideration in the coming years.

In his well-attended lecture entitled "Design of Vision – Sustainable Business Innovations“, Georg Wagner focused on the frequently existent gap between corporate and innovation strategies. He called for a new definition of innovation strategies pursued by companies. The management board themselves have to bear responsibility for the innovation strategy, which must be in line with the business strategy. This approach will ensure that resources are deployed in a focused and strategically sound manner, and that specific innovation projects can be ultimately implemented in line with the business strategy. He provided specific examples of clients to demonstrate that Spirit Design, in its role as a strategic design company, succeeds in reconciling the interests of top management and innovation managers on the basis of targeted innovation consulting. Working with clients, a vision can be transformed into concrete innovation and brand strategies.
